Afghanistan Visa Validity:

Afghanistan Visa Validity: Visas are issued for a specific period of time. The entry date you write on your application, indicated on your itinerary, and/or if applicable your business letter will be the date your visa becomes valid for entry. You will not be able to enter before this date. For example your supporting documentation (application, itinerary and/or business letter) shows an entry date of January 1st- your visa would therefore be valid and allow you to enter Afghanistan no earlier than January 1st.

The Embassy of Afghanistan typically issues a multiple entry tourist visa valid for entry for 3 months from the date of issue, for a stay in Afghanistan of up to 30 days.

Multiple entry Long Stay business visas are normally valid for entry for 1 year from the date of issue, for a stay in Afghanistan of up to 365 days.

Former citizens of Afghanistan who are now U.S. Passport holders may enter Afghanistan for a short stay without a visa. The period of stay is determined by the Afghanistan Immigration Authorities upon arrival.
